A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman who blocked his path while talking on her mobile phone, Yonhap News Agency reports.

Okcheon Police Station of North Chungcheong province said Tuesday that they had issued an arrest warrant for the 38-year-old man surnamed Kim for attacking a 45-year-old woman surnamed Lee.

Kim allegedly punched her several times on a street nearby a public bathhouse in Okcheon County, Sunday.

Kim's attack left Lee with injuries requiring seven weeks of medical treatment.

“I beat her up because I was mad that she was blocking my way while talking on her phone,” said Kim during a police investigation.

The police arrested Kim after analyzing footage from surveillance cameras and said Kim had a record of mental health issues.
