Guitarist Shin Dae-cheol has lashed out at the hospital that initially treated Shin Hae-chul, the iconic singer who is in a coma after an emergency surgery.
Shin, the former front man of the band N.EX.T., was operated on at a hospital in the Songpa district of Seoul on Oct. 17 for a strangulated hernia involving his stomach. He was released, but then readmitted after experiencing pain.
On Oct. 22, the singer’s heart reportedly stopped temporarily at the hospital. He was rushed to the ICU at Asan Medical Center, where he had part of his stomach removed.
Shin Dae-chul, 48, who has a long relationship with the singer, took to Facebook on Saturday and made comments that appeared to criticize the first hospital.
“It appears to me the hospital’s mistreatment (on Shin Hae-cheol) has become evident. Prepare to close the business for good.”
According to Shin Hae-chul’s management, KCA Entertainment, the hospital in Songpa misdiagnosed the singer before the initial operation.
Shin Dae-cheol, meanwhile, debuted in 1983 by forming a rock band called Sinawe, one of the nation’s most successful modern rock bands.
