Rock icons rally around ailing N.EX.T singer Shin Hae-chul

A number of Korean musicians tweeted messages Thursday wishing for the recovery of singer Shin Hae-chul. The former lead singer in rock band N.EX.T underwent surgery on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack.

On Twitter, lead singer of rock band YB Yoon Do-hyeon, 43, offered words of support for his contemporary, “Brother Shin will wake up. It will happen if all of you believe so!”

Kim Dong-ryul, 41, the veteran singer from Exhibition, simply tweeted, “Brother Shin, get up already. It doesn’t suit you.”

Shin was taken to Seoul Asan Hospital on Wednesday afternoon after losing consciousness. Shin’s management company KCA Entertainment said Thursday that his heart and blood pressure were stabilized after the operation but he remains unconscious.
