'Daydreaming contest' to be held at Seoul Plaza

If you’re a person who’s constantly day-dreaming when you should be working, you may want to head to Seoul Plaza next week.

The contest will be held from noon at Seoul Plaza next Monday to determine the “best daydreamer.” The winner will be determined by measuring participants’ heart rates and judging how deeply they are daydreaming.

Sleeping during the contest and smart devices are banned.

Event coordinators said they came up with the idea while thinking of ways to “play” in the city.

“We chose Monday since it is the day when workers get most tired, and daytime because it is the busiest time, which will provide a sharp contrast with the daydreaming contest,” said one of the event coordinators.

A trophy of Rodin’s ‘The Thinker’ will be awarded to the winner.
