Sprinter Jeon Min-jae, 37, has captured the nation’s heart by writing an open letter of compassion following her double-gold-medal performance at the Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games.
The letter has gone viral not only for its content, but because Jeon ― who suffers from cerebral palsy and has limited use of her arms ― wrote it with her feet.
Jeon wrote the letter after winning the women’s T-36 (cerebral palsy) 200-meter race on Sunday and the T-36 100 meters on Monday, thanking her loved ones and encouraging athletes who did not medal at the Games.

”All of us trained and struggled hard during the summer while aiming for one goal. Some reaped good results and some did not. But let us not get disappointed but reset at the starting line and look forward to the next games.”
Jeon, who began her career at the age of 26, has garnered great success on the international stage, winning medals at the IAAF World Championships in 2013 and London Para Games in 2012.
One news report said Jeon plans to retire following the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Para Games.
