Fighter's wife cries over husband's broken face

Shiho Yano, a Japanese model married to Korean-Japanese mixed martial arts fighter Choo Sung-hoon (Japanese name Yoshihiro Akiyama), has never been so emotional in public as to cry her eyes out on television.

In photos revealed Friday of an upcoming episode of KBS’s “Superman Returns,” Yano, a 39-year-old mother, cries after seeing her husband’s bruised and swollen face after a fight. The sobbing wife is apparently overwhelmed by the scarred visage of Choo, who is depicted in the show as a devoted family man.

Choo recently had his comeback fight after two years and eight months hiatus. He beat American Amir Sadollah by judges’ decision.

Also in the photos is the couple’s daughter, Choo Sa-rang, who has become something of a child idol thanks to the reality show about celebrities raising preteens. She is pictured putting some strawberry in her father’s mouth and asking her mom why she’s crying.

The episode, which reportedly has a theme highlighting the casted fathers’ raw, masculine aspects, airs this Sunday evening.
