Starting on Friday, people will be allowed to make their monthly payments on healthcare, employment, national pension and other social insurance with cash at 24-hour convenience stores. The option had already been available for users of credit cards and debit cards.
"The enabling of cash payment will reduce people’s hassle,’’ said an official from National Health Insurance Service (NHIS).
Cash payment will be enabled at the 22,000 branches of 7-Eleven, GS25, CU, Ministop and Buy The Way nationwide.
