Chinese star blasted for kneeling in front of Kim Soo-hyun

Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun is as popular as air in China, where everything related to him seems to become an episode of ``Overreaction Theater.’’

At the Baeksang Art Awards held at Kyung Hee University in Seoul on Tuesday, Kim was named as best new actor of the year for his role in the popular SBS drama ``Man from the Star.’’

Chinese singer Tao Ching Ying was picked as the presenter of the award and she over-did things a little bit by kneeling in front of him before handing him the flowers and trophy.

The image didn’t go well to Chinese fans watching from home where Tao was lashed on the Internet for being ``unprofessional’’ and a ``national disgrace.’’ While the Chinese love Kim, they apparently didn’t want one of their own popular entertainers kneeling in front of him.
