The court sentenced a man to three years in jail and 80 hours of education for having continuously committed harassment on his daughter, according to Yonhap Tuesday.
The Incheon District Criminal Court said the man sexually abused his daughter six times, forcing her undress at his place from March till July last year.
He touched her body for the sake of sex education but when she refused, he even used physical force to threaten her.
“The defendant committed an inhumane crime and the victim is suffering from a serious mental shock,” said the court.
“However, we have to consider the defendant’s mental disorder, his confession and no previous criminal records,” it added, explaining the reason for a relatively light punishment.
