Students applying for nonscheduled admission at Seoul National University (SNU) won’t need official certificate English scores such as TOEIC, TEPS, and TOEFL, according to a posting on SNU’s homepage.
SNU will disregard these scores in evaluating applicants, according to their admission office website April 4.
Actually, SNU said that it had been ignoring those scores since last year, but many students unaware of this submitted the scores anyway.
Students couldn’t find any notice so they couldn’t risk not attaching the scores.
Many students who spent hours perfecting their scores were upset with this news.
“I spent my whole vacation on those tests, and now it’s in vain. I feel frustrated.”
SNU said that they made this instruction official since many applicants were submitting those documents when it’s needless.
