One fingerprint away from jail after four years

The Pusan police Wednesday arrested a 30-year-old Kim on charges of sexual assault and robbery. He is accused of threatening a single woman at her home, sexually assaulting her and robbing her of her valuables.

The interesting about the arrest was that the alleged crime took place at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 31, 2008 when the 45-year-old woman was held at knife-point.

He reportedly fondled her breasts and took 150,000 won ($130) in cash.

While Kim wore a mask and could not be identified by the victim, he apparently removed his gloves while taking a drink from a soda bottle in the refrigerator.

Police investigation led to the identification of his fingerprint but it took more than four years to track him down and finally place him under arrest.
