Hilary Duff Engaged to Hockey Player

American singer and actress Hilary Duff, 22, has got engaged to a pro hockey player.

News reports said Friday that Duff got engaged to Mike Comrie, 29, of the Edmonton Oilers, a pro club belonging to the National Hockey League of the United States.

Publicist Nanci Ryder said the two were engaged last weekend while vacationing in Hawaii. She says in an e-mail distributed by the Oilers on Friday that the two "are very excited to share this happy news."

The couple have been dating since 2007, while being inflicted with engagement and other vicious remotes.

Duff had affairs with former U.S. singer Joel Madden, 31, Aaron Carter, 23, and others before meeting with Comrie.

She entered the stardom when he starred in the Dizney satellite channel TV series "The Lizzie McGuire" in 2003. In the same year, she made her debut as singer, producing a disc, Metamorphosis. She also starred in the films of "Cheaper by the Dozen" and U.S. CWTV "Gossip Girl."

지난 2007년부터 사랑을 키워온 두 사람은 그 동안 약혼설과 더불어 각종 악소문에 시달려 왔다. 더프는 컴리에를 만나기 전 미국 가수 조엘 메이든(31), 아론 카터(23) 등과 염문을 뿌렸다.

더프는 2003년 디즈니 위성 채널을 통해 방송된 TV 시리즈 '리지 맥과이어'에 출연하며 스타덤에 올랐다. 같은 해 가수 데뷔 음반 '메타모포시스'를 내놨다. 영화 '열두 명의 웬수들', 미국 CWTV '가십 걸' 등에 출연했다.
