Actor Kim Bo-sung opens up about losing vision after eye injury: ‘My remaining eye is also deteriorating’
Actor Kim Bo-sung has shared an update on his vision. A recent video titled "Outrageous update from a fighter who lost vision and suffered eye collapse" was uploaded to the YouTube channel Geunhwang Olympics (TAEKandJOON). In the video, Kim appeared and spoke about his current condition. Despite being almost blind in his left eye, Kim participated in a martial arts match to raise funds for charity. However, the injury led to the collapse of his eyeball. "I can’t see out of my left eye, but that eye was already damaged, so it was okay to get hit there," he said. "But if my right eye gets injured, that would be a problem. So, I switched to a left-handed stance this time. By doing that, even if I got hit with a counterpunch, it would land on this side. Thankfully, my right eye wasn’t injured." Kim explained that his strategy was to give up protecting the already-blind left eye and focus on preserving the right one.
