Green Cross releases new antipyretic analgesic

Taksen 400 Ibuprofen, a new antipyretic analgesic developed by Green Cross Corp./ Courtesy of Green Cross Corp. By Chung Hyun-chae Green Cross Corp. has released a new antipyretic analgesic. The medicine, Taksen 400 Ibuprofen, contains 400 milligrams of ibuprofen, an anti-inflammatory drug that is highly effective in reducing fever and has few gastrointestinal side effects.A company spokesman said Taksen 400 Ibuprofen is effective in relieving fever caused by flu, back pain, menstrual pain, osteoarthritis and in postoperative analgesia.“For those looking for a strong antipyretic effect, our new drug could be a better choice,” the spokesman said.He said Taksen could also be a good choice for those looking for a stronger anti-inflammatory effect, because its main ingredient is naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent. He said the new medicine is fast-acting because the liquid ingredients are in a soft capsule. While ibuprofen is a type of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is poorly water-soluble, the company made Taksen 400 Ibuprofen

Do parents need a limit on screen time?

Kids get a share of dad’s screen time as they increasingly become curious about what’s inside the glowing device. / Courtesy of Jane HanBy Jane Han A while back, I wrote about regulating screen time for my kids. But as much as I hate to admit it, I am realizing more and more that maybe it is me and my husband ― the mom and dad ― who need to set stricter limits on how much we’re plugged in throughout the day.I’ve been thinking about this matter for quite some time as it has become undeniably obvious that the girls now seem to have a pretty good awareness of what mom and dad are doing with their glowing rectangular device.Thankfully, for some good and unknown reason, they think we’re doing something important. To my defense, I’d like to say that I really am attending to something considerably urgent and important when I am fixated either on my phone or laptop.I set a general rule for myself that I would check my phone only if I get an alert for e-mails, text and instant messages or, of course, if I receive or need to make a phone call.Y

Transitioning to the toddler bed

Ellen, left, and Ann love their new bed, but aren’t ready to sleep in it alone just yet. / Courtesy of Jane Han By Jane Han  As kids grow up, there are certain things parents often contemplate whether to buy or not. From toddler tricycles to best-selling children’s book sets, these random things ― which at that moment look absolutely necessary for the child’s physical, emotional and intellectual well-being ― just keep popping up, one after another. But let me tell you, if you resist the temptation by practicing as much self-control as you possibly can, you’ll soon realize that your little one is doing just fine without whatever it is after all. This is one of the few things I am proud to say I’ve done successfully throughout my short parenting career thus far.I do mull over some things here and there, but eight out of 10 times, I keep my wallet closed. But last week, I succumbed.I went to IKEA and spent a little over $400 on a toddler bed and mattress. I even bought one of those cute canopy tents that’s supposed to make sleeping ``fun.&
