Radical feminist group attacks Catholicism, Islam

The burning Quran, captured from WOMADBy Jung Hae-myoung, Jung Min-hoWOMAD, a radical feminist group, has claimed one of its members burned a copy of the Quran, the central religious text of Islam. The person who posted a picture of the burning Quran Wednesday said, “Muslim cockroaches and Korean men should be eliminated.”It is unclear whether she actually burned the text and, if so, how she obtained it.This came just a day after another member posted a photo of a Catholic sacramental wafer scribbled with foul language in red ink. Following the news, the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea (CBCK) denounced the posting as a serious insult to the Catholic Church and vowed to take action in response.“In accordance with Catholic regulations, the CBCK is preparing the process to notify the Vatican through the Vatican ambassador in Seoul,” said priest Ahn Bong-hwan, spokesman of the CBCK. Under the motto, “We hate all men,” WOMAD has gained notoriety for bashing religions and men since its 2016 inception. On the overseas-based website, it is easy to find

By Janet ShinIn saju, science and mystery are integrated exquisitely together. People may denigrate saju for its seemingly superstitiousness but it should be accredited to its scientific content as well, whose value can be recognized with the advance of contemporary science. I am interested in how saju and other types of fortunetelling such as astrology, which actually have many fundamentals in common, collaborate with AI in reading and translating not only human fate, but many other economic and social indexes.Saju reads various information about people based on accumulated data from celestial movements and climatic elements when they were born. It may tell one's wealth, reputation, knowledge and vocational aptitude on top of biological and social relations.I am often asked to read the future prospects of a company or a television program based on their establishment or launching dates. Some masters have tried to forecast stock market with the help of saju theory. The below photo is a device developed by an Italian artist to show the astrology chart of a listed company in global maj

INTERVIEW Full Gospel Church to build big hospital in North Korea

Yoido Full Gospel Church Senior Pastor Lee Young-hoon gesticulates during an interview with The Korea Times at his office in the church, Tuesday. Korea Times photo by Shim Hyun-chulBy Oh Young-jin Yoido Full Gospel Church has a congregation of more than half a million, the largest in the world. Its leader, Senior Pastor Lee Young-hoon, comes off as being different from what is expected of megachurch pastors, being down-to-earth, progressive and conservative in ideology and suggesting unique approaches to key social challenges. All told, he wants to make a church not just for churchgoers but rejuvenate it as an active, healthy member of society. To say the least, it is a challenge in any modern society that is increasingly alienated from worshipping to the point it is regarded as a personal pastime. He has already steered the church toward and been involved in a wide range of issues, from North Korea, redistribution and procreation, to renewal of the church and politics. For the 50-minute interview at his office ― spartan except for the wealth of books on shelves and his desk ― h
