White House looks into leak of Obama daughter photo

The White House is investigating the leak of U.S. President Barack Obama’s daughter Malia’s picture on the social media page of a New York rap group.
The Chicago Sun Times reported that the photo of the president’s daughter Malia, 16, wearing a t-shirt with the logo of the group Pro Era was posted on the group’s Instagram account.
The caption read, “Malia Obama rocking that classic Pro Era tee! Make sure you get your official Pro Era gear from theproera.com!”
Michelle Obama has tried to keep her daughters off the social media. A representative for one of the group members said the picture was from a “mutual friend” of Malia and a Pro Era member.
Reports suggest the picture is a marketing gimmick ahead of the Jan. 20 release of the group’s new album.
The group, also known as Progressive Era, was formed in 2009 in Brooklyn. There are 47 members including rappers and producers as well as non-musical members such as photographers, directors and publicists.
