The sunken ferry Sewol was briefly listed on the U.S. online boat sales market for a disgracefully low price of just $1.
Newsis said Thursday that the ferry was listed Wednesday on the website www.boats.com under the name “1994 RORO Passenger/Cargo Ferry Coastal Service.”
Put out on offer by “Ship-Broker,” the ferry’s detailed description included its name Sewol, nationality of Korea, cruise record from Incheon to Jeju, passenger capacity of 960, working staffs of 35, and loadable vehicle capacity of 88 sedans and 60 eight-ton trucks.
Sewol disappeared from www.boats.com on the same day around 10 a.m.
The report said the ferry was also listed on other online sales markets for limited times, including www.ship-broker.eu and www.yachtwold.com.
