Osmond Son Jumps to Death

Singer Marie Osmond's teenage son has jumped to his death from a window at his apartment block, according to the Mirror of the United Kingdom.

Michael Blosil, 18, who suffered from depression, left a note at his Los Angeles home saying he felt he had no friends and could never fit in.

Marie, who cancelled her Las Vegas show, said: "My family and I are in deep shock and devastated by the tragic loss of our dear Michael."

Marie and Michael's father Brian divorced in 2007. They have two biological children and adopted five others, including Michael.

1970년대 남매가수로 최고의 인기를 누렸던 마리 오스먼드의 아들 마이클 블로실 (18)이 28일 (한국시간) 자신의 LA 아파트에서 뛰어내려 자살했다고 영국의 메일지가 보도했다.

평소 우울증을 앓아온 블로실은 유서에서 친구가 없었으며 적응도 어려웠다고 심경을 토로했다.

라스베가스 공연을 취소한 마리는 ``가족과 함께 깊은 충격을 받았으며 지금 깊은 절망의 늪에 빠져 있다’’고 밝혔다.

마리와 마이클의 아버지 브라이언 블로실은 2007년 이혼했다. 둘은 2명의 자녀 이외에 마이클을 비롯해 5명을 입양했었다.

마리 오스먼드는 미국 팝계에서 1960, 70년대 마이클 잭슨, 자넷 잭슨 등의 잭슨 가문과 쌍벽을 이루는 오스먼드 가문의 일원으로 오빠 도니와 함께 듀엣으로 활동하며 '페이퍼 로지스' 등 수많은 히트곡을 냈다.
