The new home of national football teams will be called "Korea Football Park."
The Korea Football Association (KFA) unveiled the name of the brand new national football training center in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province. The men's national team trained there before their two friendly matches at home in November, and it still carried the generic name of the "National Football Center" then.
The KFA said it had been working with the municipal government of Cheonan since October last year to settle on the name and the facility's logo. They also ran a fan survey in April and settled on Korea Football Park in June.
The name and the logo were unveiled Tuesday after they had been officially trademarked.
The logo was inspired by the design of the stadium inside the training center while also representing dynamic movements of football players, the KFA said.
