The Seattle Mariners’ “Big Boy” Lee Dae-ho slammed his seventh home run on Tuesday.
Lee, who was back after missing two games, was the seventh batter and first-base man. He hit a three-run home run off pitcher Brandon Maurer of the San Diego Padres in the bottom of the eighth inning at Safeco Field in Seattle, Washington.
This gave his team a 9-2 lead, with the game ending 9-3. It was his first home run in 11 days.
The home run and another base hit raised Lee’s batting average from .254 to .267.
Lee also managed a fascinating double play in the beginning of the sixth inning.
With Lee’s contribution, the Mariners were able to make a comeback from three successive defeats. The Mariners are in second place in the American League West with 29 wins and 21 losses.
