Rio press center taking registration

The media and press center for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics is currently taking registration from reporters for the Games until April 29.

Established by a partnership between the Brazilian federal government and the city government of Rio de Janeiro, the Rio Media Center officially opened on April 11. It will provide work facilities, up-to-date information and a diverse agenda of events for reporters during the Games, which will take place Aug. 5-21, and the Paralympic Games Sept. 7-18.

The 2,700 square meter building equipped with hi-speed Wi-Fi will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It also has a multifunctional auditorium with a capacity of up to 300, two TV studios and six radio studios.
