Skeleton racer wins two medals
Skeleton racer Lee Han-sin finished fifth and sixth at the 2015 Skeleton Intercontinental Cup Tour (ICC) Whistler events over the weekend to bring home two valuable medals.
The Korea Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation said Saturday that Lee, 27, finished both races in one minute and 47.77 seconds, just 0.11 seconds behind Greg Rafter of Canada. In the first race, he clocked 53.96 to finish ninth, but in the second race, clocked 53.81 seconds to cross the finish line fourth.
In the event on Sunday, Lee finished fifth with an improved record of one minute and 47.67 seconds. He finished fifth in the first race, and sixth in the second. The International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation’s ICC grants the top six racers medals.
Both golds went to Anton Batuev of Russia.
