Park Likely to Make Yankees Debut Today
Park Chan-ho is likely to make his debut for the New York Yankees against the Tampa Bay Rays Friday (KST).
According to the team's Web site, Yankees manager Joe Giradi said Park would take the mound Friday.
The spring training game is scheduled to take place at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Fla.
The 36-year-old Korean agreed to a $1.2 million, one-year deal, including a $300,000 incentive, with the reigning World Series champion last month after declining a $3 million offer from his former team, the Philadelphia Phillies.
The 16-year veteran has compiled a record of 120-95 with a 4.35 ERA in Major League Baseball (MLB).
