The Korean Basketball League (KBL) has announced the schedule for the ethnic Korean draft.

The governing body said Monday that it would take place on Feb. 2 in Seoul and a physical test will be conducted on Jan. 30.

If an applicant misses either of the dates, they will not qualify for the draft.

Nine players have applied for the draft, including Eric Sandrin and Tony Atkins, the KBL said

Sandrin, who stands 2.06 meters tall, is the brother of Lee Dong-joon, the second pick in the 2007 draft by the Daegu Orions who now plays for the Singapore Slingers in Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL). Lee also played for the Ulsan Mobis last season as a foreign player and averaged 11.75 points and 6.63 rebounds in 24 games.

Atkins, 1.8-meters tall, graduated from the prestigious Georgia Tech, which has produced All-Stars Stephon Marbury of the New York Knicks and Chris Bosh of the Toronto Raptors. He has also played in Turkey, France and Poland.

Teams that pick a player in the draft will lose the right to make a selection in the first round of the rookie draft, which is scheduled for Feb. 3.
