The SK Wyverns are the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) champions again.

SK ace Kim Kwang-hyun pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings Friday night at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul to help the Wyverns beat the Doosan Bears 2-0 in Game 5 of the Korean Series and earn their second straight KBO title.

The victory capped a dominant season for the Wyverns, who went 83-43 during the regular season to set a league record for most wins in a year. After losing the opener of the Korean Series, they won the next four games to clinch the championship.

Kim was the Wyverns' winning pitcher on Friday, after the left-hander held the Bears to four hits while tallying three strikeouts and four walks.

The Wyverns scored their first run in the top of the seventh inning, when Bears third baseman Kim Dong-joo committed an error on a ground ball hit by Park Kyung-oan with two outs and the bases loaded. Choi Jung, who was named the Korean Series' Most Valuable Player (MVP), drove in the second run in the eighth by hitting an RBI single with two outs.
