South Korean international Lee Chun-soo of Feyenoord made a two-week stopover in Korea Wednesday due to, allegedly, poor adjustment to his new league.
The 26-year-old signed with the Dutch side on Aug. 31 and flew to the Netherlands on Sept. 22.
Some local media reported that the 2005 K-League MVP has had difficult adapting to the league, caused by homesickness.
He has played one game with Feyenoord as a substitute but did not score a goal.
``As Lee has been in a bad shape because of a slight flu, his club permitted him to visit Korea,'' said his agent.
It is the second time for Lee to return to Korea during the league in the Europe.
When playing with Real Sociedad and CD Numancia in Spain from 2003 to 2005, he also had trouble adapting to the league.
