Both Koreas Eliminated From U-20 World Cup

MONTREAL _ South Korea drew 1-1 Friday with Poland in their last Group D match of FIFA's Under-20 World Cup, ending their hopes of moving to the next 16-nation knockdown stage.

South Korea, who drew twice and earned two points through their three Group D matches, came close to beating Poland when Lee Sang-ho scored an equalizer in the second half and their offense made several more chances.

Dawid Janczyk scored his second goal of the tournament just before halftime for his Polish team to lead the game.

South Korea finished winless and last in Group D.

North Korea has also been eliminated as it was defeated by defending champion Argentina in Group E.
