The winter cold is creeping in, heralding that the emergence of Salvation Army bell ringers and their red kettles is imminent.
The Salvation Army said Wednesday it will hold a launch
for this year's street fundraising campaign on Nov. 30.
The event will be in Gwanghwamun, central Seoul, at 11 a.m. with senior Salvation Army officials, Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Jong-hwan and invited guests.
The ceremony will mark the beginning of the religious institution's street fundraising campaign at 440 spots across the country, which will continue through Dec. 31.
