Korea Times reporter wins 'EU Climate Change Journalist Award'
A Korea Times reporter is one of several winners of an “EU Climate Change Journalist Award.”
Ko Dong-hwan from the Digital News Department received his award for a story about replacing excavators’ diesel engines with electric motors to curb air pollution.
“
Construction rigs tackle fine dust
” highlighted the possibility of solving the country’s air pollution caused by micro particles, also known as fine dust or ultrafine dust.
The award, hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea and assessed in partnership with Korea’s Climate Change Center, is part of the EU Climate Change Outreach Project in Korea.
