Scholars Gather to Study Korean Religion
Six philosophers and scholars will gather at the Seoul Museum of History to study Korean traditional religions, Friday. Under the theme ``Philosophical and Historical Reinterpretation of `Chun Bu Kyung,’’’ a book upon which one of Korea’s traditional religions was based, the academic seminar will present reports and research on traditional religious and cultural thought by the six.
At the seminar, Lee Keun-chul, a lecturer from the University of Brain Education (UBE), will introduce core thoughts from the book following a presentation on its seminological significance by Sun Mi-ra from Chonnam National University.
In a second session, Jung Kyung-hee, also a UBE professor, will speak on how to interpret the religious book followed by the presentation of research reports by Chungbuk National University Professor Kim Yong-hwan.
