Police are looking for 100,000 face masks that vanished from a warehouse in Incheon last week.
The masks were supposed to be loaded this week onto a cargo vessel bound for China, which is waging an uphill battle against the deadly coronavirus.
Incheon Jungbu Police Station said a Korean trader noticed on Saturday the masks had disappeared and called police.
“We are looking into various possible scenarios including the warehouse manager's mistake of handing over the masks to the wrong person,” a police officer said.
