An elementary school boy was driving his family's SUV when it crashed in central Daegu, Monday.
Police and media reports said Tuesday the boy, 7, was alone at the wheel of a KIA Sportage SUV when it struck a Ford Explorer next to him.
No one was injured.
Police said the boy took the car's key from his mom's purse and drove the SUV about two kilometers from the apartment parking lot.
”The child is a minor, protected under the juvenile protection law,” Yonhap quoted a policeman as saying. “His parents will reimburse the damage caused by the accident.”
