A taxi driver chased and caught a Chinese man who fled after injuring two pedestrians while driving drunk in Busan, police said Thursday.

The accident happened at 2:35 a.m. in northern Busan. The taxi driver saw the Chinese man's sedan hit two people walking on the street and drive away.

The cabby chased the sedan for about 12 kilometers and caught its driver after a scuffle. Police who followed the taxi apprehended the man.

The Chinese man's blood-alcohol level was 0.156 percent, high enough to have his license revoked, police said.

They said the injured pedestrians have non-life threatening injuries and are in hospital.
