Two bodies were found in an abandoned part of a commercial building in Samcheok, Gangwon Province, police said Wednesday.
A group of men in their 20s, who were looking around the abandoned section, found the bodies on the third floor of the five-story building on Tuesday afternoon and reported it to police, Samcheok Police Station said.
Police believe the two killed themselves because handwritten suicide notes were found at the scene. There were no signs of foul play, investigators said.
The two bodies were identified as a man, 49, and a woman, 29, whose residences were registered in Gyeongsang Province. Police didn't disclose further details.
