Vietnamese caught for hemp purchase

Police have caught a Vietnamese man in possession of illegal hemp. They are seeking a warrant to arrest him.
Investigators caught the Vietnamese in an ambush at a restaurant in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, Tuesday night. He had a small box containing 11 grams of hemp, worth 230,000 won ($204).
He admitted his wrongdoing, saying the illegal plant was supposed to be smoked during his friend's wedding party. Police didn't reveal his identity. He entered the country on a sailor's visa that has expired. He has been here for seven months undocumented, police said.
Police gave credit for the capture to a taxi driver who had tipped them off on the delivery of a “suspicious” box. The driver delivered the box to the Vietnamese from Busan Station at the request of another foreigner, a suspected hemp seller.
Police are investigating whether other people are involved.
