Decomposed human body found on Gumi mountain

A decomposed human body was found on a mountainside in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, police said Thursday.

A hiker found it while climbing the mountain in Sungsoo-ri at 2:24 p.m., according to Gumi Police Station.

“The body was seriously decomposed to the level bones were clearly visible,” an investigator quoted the hiker as saying.

An investigation is under way to find the cause of death and other details.
