The Itaewon Global Village Center will present 10 Korean language classes for foreign residents, beginning Jan. 4.
The classes are open to foreign residents aged 18 and over who have an Alien Registration Card that does not expire before March 18. Late registration is available until Jan. 8 for some classes.
To apply, applicants must bring their registration card. Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) members can bring their passport showing the SOFA stamp, while diplomats can bring either their diplomatic passport or diplomat ID card.
The classes are free, but students must pay for textbooks.
Class times vary on Korean ability and all students are subject to a level test, ranging from “absolute beginner” and “lower beginner” to “upper beginner.”
