Camarata looks for choir members
By John Redmond
The Camarata Music Company is looking for members, new and returning, to join the Camarata Chorale to prepare and perform for the choir’s autumn “pops” concert.
The repertoire will include songs from musicals, movies, popular music and some world music. This is a fun, laidback concert all around, and one that all can enjoy.
Rehearsals begin on July 28, and the concert is on Sept. 7. New members are asked to come at 3 p.m., and returning members at 4 p.m.
Rehearsals typically run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with some running from 3 to 4 p.m. These are held at the Camarata Music Company Studio near Noksapyung Station (line 6) in Seoul.
Experience is not at all necessary. Members vary greatly, from people with degrees in music, to people that only have experience singing in the shower! Age varies from 14 to 75 years old, and people come from numerous countries.
The Camarata Music Company is a registered nonprofit organization in Seoul. Its mission is to provide high quality music to international audiences.
All those interested in singing in the choir should send an email to info@camaratamusic.com. For more information, call 010-9806-8655.
