For lovers of sophisticated yet unpretentious food and authentic craft-brewed beers, Craftworks Taphouse & Bistro, Seoul’s first foreign-owned brewpub will open a new branch in Pangyo, south of Seoul, on July 5.

Named Craftworks Taphouse Pangyo, the establishment will follow in the tradition of Craftworks Taphouse in Namsan, combining fresh, craft-brewed beers from pure spring water with the freshest, most eclectic dining and drinking menus around.

“With seating for 90 people in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, Craftworks Pangyo continues in the tradition begun by the Namsan location … a nonsmoking interior, independent music, a full menu, and, of course, the best craft beers in Korea,” states a press release.

All seven of the Craftworks handmade beers that kick-started Korea’s love of craft beer will be on tap at Craftworks Pangyo, as well as the special seasonal beers brewed throughout the year.

To celebrate the new opening, Craftworks Pangyo will be hosting a Grand Opening Celebration with fantastic drink specials that include free beer from 3 to 4 p.m. Also part of the deal is 1,000 won beers from 4 to 5 p.m., 2,000 won beers from 5 to 6 p.m., 3,000 won beers from 6 to 7 p.m., 4,000 won beers from 8 to 9 p.m. and 5,000 won beers till close.

There will also be free appetizer samplers all night.

Craftworks opened its first location at the base of Namsan in Seoul in November 2010. Korea’s first foreign-owned brewpub, Craftworks aims to provide natural, hearty meals, top-shelf liquors and the finest craft-brewed beers ever made in Korea.

Craftworks Taphouse Pangyo, is located equidistant from Seohyeon Station and Pangyo Station in Bundang. It is easily reached by either a short four minute taxi ride or a 10 minute walk.
