NANTA presents special January discount
NANTA presents a special January discount for all afternoon and evening, weekday and weekend shows with each venue having its own schedule.
It is holding a Magic No. 11 promotion in January at all three of its Seoul theaters. Come with a friend and get a 20 percent discount (minimum two people required to get the discount).
The VIP seats are 60,000 won but with the 20 percent discount are 48,000 won and S seats that are regularly 50,000 won are 40,000 won with the discount.
At all NANTA Theaters in Seoul ― Gangbuk, Myeong-dong and Gangnam.
To get the discount you must reserve online.
Go to the NANTA website. In the “ticket type” section, click "Goodbye 2010 20%."
Proceed with making your reservation and payment with a credit card. (Remember to bring the capture screen of your reply with you so that you are not charged the difference at the box office.
Patrons who do not have a credit card can book by email at ray@nanta.co.kr and pay at the theatre. However, they will have to provide proof of their current address.

Ming, Qing paintings on display at National Museum
An exhibition of Ming and Qing paintings will be at the National Museum of Korea through the end of January.
The opening times are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays; and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays and holidays. Closed Mondays except for holidays.
Admission is free.
The exhibition is at the National Museum of Korea, Special Exhibition room in the Permanent Exhibition Hall, on the first floor.
It is located 150 meters toward Yongsan Family Park from Inchon Station on line 4.

Myeongdong Academy to hold art exhibition
The Myeongdong Academy will hold an art exhibition through Jan. 16 at, Gyeongbokgung Station, Seoul, which will be open all subway hours. Admission is free.
Exhibiting artists includes 10 invited Korean masters, five invited international artists and 40 Myeongdong Academy members.
KT&G Corporation will be choosing works from this exhibition for use in its upcoming advertising campaigns.
The venue (dubbed Seoul Metro Museum No. 2) is located inside Gyeongbokgung Station on line 3.
Outdoor skating rink opens in Daegu
The outdoor skating rink at Sincheon Stream, Daegu will be open through Feb. 6.
The rink is open from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.
There is no admission fee. Skate rental is 1,000 won per hour.
The rink has been furnished with rest areas, skate rentals, toilets, coin lockers and seats. Safety staff will be on hand in case of emergencies during operating hours, and there will be skating classes for beginners.
The rink, open to anyone, is near the Daebong bridge near Debec Plaza, Sincheon Stream, Daegu.
