Musical 'All That Jazz' to be staged in Yongsan Arts Center

The musical All That Jazz will be performed at 8 p.m. on weekdays. On Saturdays, there are two performances at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m, and on Sundays, but at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The only exceptions are on Feb. 9, where there is a performance at 3 p.m. and on Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. There are no performances Mondays.

The cost for Section A is 15,000 won; Section S, 45,000 won and Section R, 55,000 won with a 30 percent discount for Yongsan-gu residents.

The venue is Yongsan Culture and Arts Ccenter -- exit 3 of Noksapyeong subway station. Cross the street to the Suji's restaurant side and walk toward the Crown Hotel.

To receive the Yongsan resident discount: When you call to make your reservation, state that you are a Yongsan-gu resident, then on the day of the performance you have to show your alien registration card or other documentation that clearly shows that you live in the district. If you do not bring proper documentation, you will have to pay the cost difference at the door.

Musical 'Hero' to run through Jan. 15 at National Theater

The musical Hero, which won six awards at the 4th Musical Awards, and another six awards at the 16th Korean Musical Prizes, returns to the stage. This highly artistic musical deals with human anguish and pain of the colonial-era resistance fighter An Jung-geun. For the first time in Korea, the production features a real train rising into the air, along with other sophisticated stage effects such as 3D projected images. The role of An Junggeun is played by Jeong Seong-hwa, Yang Jun-mo, and Sin Seong-nok.

The performance times are Tuesday to Friday at 8 p.m. Saturday at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Closed Mondays.

Tickets range from 40,000 won to 110,000 won.
