Rubber Soul

This year’s Rubber Soul will take place in five international cities and is aimed at raising funds and awareness of HIV. It is put on by three organizations: Medipeace, Meaningful Volunteer, and Little Travelers. The event in Seoul will feature Korean and foreigner bands who will play all night long.

Last year's Rubber Seoul raised more than 10 million won.

Little Travelers are beaded pins made by South Africans affected by HIV/AIDS in the Kwa-Zulu Natal province of South Africa, a region with an approximate 40 percent infection rate. The artisans work through an income generation project of the Hillcrest AIDS Center. Volunteers market and sell these pins with 100 percent of the proceeds returning to the Hillcrest AIDS Centre and its crafters.

Meaningful Volunteer is a 100 percent non-profit volunteer placement organization dedicated to empowering volunteers to make a meaningful impact in developing countries. The money raised from Rubber Soul will helps to build a new RYE school in Uganda where research shows almost every child under 12 is incapable of reading or writing.

MediPeace, a Korean founded organization, is a global healthcare NGO. The Organization aims to join aid efforts and help establish a primary health care system in disaster zones and also provide medical care for those who are isolated from global healthcare systems. In order to achieve these goals, MediPeace has several major projects which it is currently working on.
