Korea Foundation Presents Free Concert for Foreigners
The Korea Foundation invites foreigners residing in Korea to experience Korean fusion music through a concert, titled``Touch of Silk Beat of Heart’’ at Chamber Hall of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The concert features Sookmyung Gayageum Orchestra and the Korean percussion quartet Gong Myoung, which are famous for creating new styles by blending different genres. Embrace the opportunity to hear various music pieces intermingle in exciting combinations.
The concert consists of two parts.
During Part 1, Sookmyung Gayageum Orchestra will perform Arirang; Canon in D Major; Gayageum Byeongchang Sarang-ga (Love song) from a traditional love story; best hits of the Beatles; Tian mi mi (Sweet like honey); and a song from the movie ``Comrades, Almost a Love Story.”
In Part 2, Korean percussion quartet Gong Myoung will present Story of Salmon; Milky Way: Morning Sounds; Gongmyoung U Hee (Gong Myoung's Amusement); Joy; and Treasure Island.
