Korea has deployed an upgraded satellite communication system to Army troops in rear areas to improve their operational capability, the state arms procurement agency said Wednesday.
The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) said it has completed a project to enhance the military command, control, communication, computer and intelligence (C4I) system after 17 months of development. Since last month, the system has been in operation in Army units.
The new communication system is expected to bolster combat capabilities of military personnel in rear areas, it said. (Yonhap)
