Marriage will link Hyundai Motor Group, veteran Korean actor

The bride-to-be, Sun A-young, is a granddaughter of Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Mong-koo. Sun will marry Korean actor Gil Yong-u's son Gil Sung-jin at Myeongdong Cathedral in central Seoul on Friday.

Korea’s second-largest conglomerate, Hyundai Motor Group, and seasoned Korean actor Gil Yong-u will become ”related” when a granddaughter of group chairman Chung Mong-koo ties the knot with Gil’s son.
The bride, Sun A-young, 30, will marry Gil Sung-jin, 32, at Myeongdong Cathedral in central Seoul on Friday, according to industry watchers.
The groom is a student now preparing for graduate school.
Sun is a daughter of Chung Sung-yi, the eldest daughter of the chairman, and an advisor at Innocean Worldwide, an advertising and marketing services firm under the Hyundai Motor Group.
Dozens of Hyundai Group officials and many from the entertainment industry are expected to attend the ceremony.
In April, Sun Dong-wook, 28, Chung Sung-yi’s only son, married Chae Su-yeon, 26, second daughter of Aekyung Group vice-chairman Chae Hyung-seok, at Myeongdong Cathedral. Aekyung is another Korean conglomerate whose business ranges from daily necessities to chemicals. Founding members of Hyundai and Aekyung attended the wedding.
Gil featured in MBC drama series “A Daughter Just Like You” from May to November in 2015.
