Mother arrested for throwing 4-month-old son out of window

Daegu Eastern District Police Station has asked the prosecution to request an arrest warrant for a woman who threw her four-month-old son out of the window of a three-story building.

According to the police, the woman, identified only as “A,” 26, threw her son out of the window at 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday.

The baby, who fell seven meters from the building to the ground, died on the way to the hospital.

“A” said she lost her temper because the baby was sniveling and she didn’t get any sleep the night before, police said.

“A” has a history of manic-depressive illness stretching back many years.

Police are investigating.
