The Garden of Morning Calm in Gapyeong, Gangwon Province, is a top domestic destination for Christmas, data shows.

The finding is based on Hyundai MnSoft's analysis of searches on its smartphone navigation app "Mappy" on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day last year.

Many visit the garden for the Christmas vibe of the light festival from early December to March, according to Hyundai Motor’s infotainment firm.

Second on the list was Incheon International Airport, as many spend the holiday abroad.

Next was Cheongdo Provence Photo Land in North Gyeongsang Province, which also hosts a "Christmas light festival." The theme park is a reproduction of the region in southern France.

The youth enclave of Hongdae, filled with restaurants, cafes and bakeries, followed.

Fifth was Eurwangni Beach in Incheon.

Then came the Konjiam Ski Resort in Gyeonggi Province.

Seventh was the Jeonju Hanok Village. The area, filled with traditional hanok houses, offers many sights such as the Jeondong Cathedral and Nambu Market.

Next on the list was the "Herb Island" in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, also known for its "fairy-tale light festival."

Sorae Port in Incheon made ninth, as many go to enjoy the seafood.

Tenth was the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, where various concerts are held at the end of the year.
