Prosecutors indict doctor for lying about age, past

The Supreme Prosecutors Office has indicted without physical detention a doctor who lied about his age and past to register with a dating agency.

Prosecutors said the doctor, 43, slashed 11 years off his age. He also omitted to say that he was divorced.

The prosecutors found him guilty of obstructing the business of the marriage-dating agency.

The doctor falsified his driver’s license, his doctor’s papers and other documents and had met more than four women. One woman who met him twice suspected he was lying and filed a complaint with the agency to get her 5.8 million won back. The agency then sued the doctor.

Prosecutors said the doctor also had also been involved in a sexual violence case.
