Preschool teacher arrested for pulling child's arm

Police have arrested a preschool teacher for allegedly abusing a student north of Seoul.

According to Ilsan Police Department, in Gyeonggi Province, the teacher, 53, was arrested for allegedly yanking a three-year-old's arm at a preschool in Dong-gu.

The child’s elbow might have been dislocated, hospital officials said.

"I had not intended to physically abuse the child, but I had momentarily felt rage when I saw the two kids fighting, which is why I pulled one of their arms to get them away from each other," the preschool teacher was quoted as saying.

Police are looking at CCTV footage to clarify what happened.
