'We're not a couple. He's my father!'

By Lee Kyung-min
A daughter said she is tired of becoming the gratuitous public gossip whenever she is seen with her boyish-looking father, 40, as people mistake them as a couple, KBS TV program “Hello” reported Monday.
“My father and I went to an amusement park one day, and I heard people talking about us, ’What’s that guy doing with a girl that young?’,” said the middle-school girl.
“It gets me frustrated that I have to care at all about what other people think when I’m just having a good time with my dad,” added the girl during the show.
The father, who obviously does not look his age, said looking younger is not something to be coveted.
“Some told me that I look as young as a 27-year-old. I forced myself to drink to get huge bags under the eyes to look older,” he said.
“I heard that, these days, a woman who is dating a much older guy for money calls the man ‘daddy.’ I feel uncomfortable that people might actually think that’s the case when I’m with my daughter,” he added.
